Walk the Building Twice
Question 2 gives you one hour inside a structure someone else built: a prose passage, a narrator who has already chosen a route through it, and a prompt asking what the construction does. A surveyor does not retell the floor plan. You walk the building once with the narrator — at their pace, through their doors — and once against them, opening what they walked past. The report you write is the essay.
